When you access our Bupa Life Skills you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. PRIVACY NOTICE
When you register for Bupa Life Skills modules and website (Service), Bupa Australia Pty Ltd ABN 81 000 057 590 (Bupa, we, us or our) collects your personal information (PI) for the purpose(s) of providing you with access to the Service, and for administering and operating the Service. In addition, your information will be collected by En Masse Pty Ltd (En Masse) who provides and administers the Service on Bupa’s behalf.
When you register for the Service, you will be required to provide certain PI (such as your name and email address) to access the Service. If you do not provide all of the PI requested, you may be unable to access the Service.
The PI you provide in the course of registering for and using the Service may be disclosed to third parties engaged by Bupa or En Masse for the purposes of providing and administering the Service. For tracking purposes, we will also disclose to your organisation (for example your university or employer) whether you have participated in the Service, your learning quiz results (as a percentage) and your pre and post confidence self-ratings (out of 10).
In addition, we may disclose de-identified statistical data (which does not personally identify you or your results) from user participation in the Service to your organisation (for example your university or employer).
When registering for the Service you also agree that your PI will otherwise be handled in accordance with Bupa’s Information Handling Policy (Policy). The Policy contains information about how you can access and seek correction of your PI, how you can make a complaint if you believe we have not complied with the Australian Privacy Principles when handling your PI, how Bupa will handle your complaint, as well as further information on how Bupa handles your PI. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer by a web server when you access a web site. Cookies are frequently used on web sites. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer used.
Bupa Life Skills uses cookies to improve your user experience and will log:
- a ‘company code’ cookie identifying the name of your participating organisation;
- a session cookie (when you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed in your browser and on the server);
- a username cookie that remembers your username within the browser (it is safe to refuse this cookie – you will just have to retype your username every time you log in).
Bupa Life Skills uses this information for various purposes including:
- to help customise your experience and provide access to agreed content;
- to provide continuity and maintain your login from page to page;
- to remember your username on the login page (it will be already filled out for you);
- to enable you to access online services.
